2021 Reading Challenges + Free Printable Reading Challenge Tracker

The 2021 reading challenges I’m participating in to challenge myself to read books I own, travel the world in books and explore other cultures and societies through books!

I love reading and I lost my reading mojo in 2020, reading only 3 books all year. I’m DETERMINED to make 2021 a better reading year. Reading helps me learn, grow and experience things I may not otherwise experience. And I love participating in reading challenges to share my love of books with other book lovers and have important and fun conversations.

Here are the 2021 reading challenges I’ll be participating in:

Travel the World in Books 2021 Reading Challenge

I LOVE exploring other cultures and countries through books. The Travel the World in Books Reading Challenge is a challenge I started a few years ago and I still have a shelf or two on my TBR bookshelf that has books I want to read for this challenge!

My Goal: Read 25 books from other countries and cultures besides the US.

Rory gilmore reading challenge

I am a big fan of the Gilmore Girls so I was excited to find the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge list. I own about 8 books on my current TBR Shelf that would qualify for this challenge. Yay!

My Goal: Read 3 books from the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge

the unread shelf project 2021 reading challenge

i spend more time on Instagram these days and the Unread Shelf project encourages us to read from my TBR. Because we have some huge financial goals, I am on a no spend year for books. Don’t cry for me. I have probably 200 books i haven’t read, a well stocked library and the Libby app so i can listen to audiobooks I check out from the library.

My Goal: Read 40 books from my TBR Shelf

I’ll be counting any books that are already on my bookshelves or Kindle.

Summer Big Book 2021 Reading challenge

My friend Sue from Book by Book hosts this summer reading challenge where you’re challenged to read a big, chunky book (at least 400 pages).

My Goal: Read 2 big books between Memorial Day and Labor Day

Popsugar reading challenge and the Diversity Reading Challenges are always fun too. so I may dip my toes in those! I also enjoy audiobooks, personal development books and catching up on the classics on my shelf so even though I’m not dedicating a specific challenge to them, they will make an appearance in my reading challenge lists!
